Greetings Mannford 1st UMC Family!


Wow! We are almost to the end of the first quarter of 2010 and God still has so much in store for us! God has been moving within the Children. I am pleased to say that most of the Kids that have been coming to Wednesday night services have started to come on Sunday morning services as well. Praise God!

We have the need to expand our “Van Ministry” to the kids in the community. I will now be picking up three to four groups of kids in different areas of Mannford. If you would ever like to come and ride along on the van, please feel free to contact me or Ashley and we can gladly arrange that.

I sent the order in last week for our Kingdom Kids t-shirts. With that being said, I want to tell you how proud of you I am! I asked from you the congregation to step up and help out with the cost of the t-shirts by sponsoring a child. You heard my request and saw the need and stepped up to meet that need. I am so proud and pleased to announce that every child was sponsored by a member of the congregation. Some members sponsored more than one. I would like to say thank you to all the members who gave.

We still have a need for volunteers to teach Sunday school for the Months of May, June, July, August, October, November, and December 2010. If you would like to sign up for this, contact me or Ashley. We also need volunteers to help out on our Wednesday Night Kingdom Kids with snacks and also to stay the length of the service and help with different things. I have a special need for someone to volunteer to do Children’s Church March 14th and Kingdom Kids March 17th as Ashley and I will be taking a short leave of absence and will be out of town. Pray and seek God about sharing the Word with the kids during these times. If you would like to volunteer, please see me or Ashley. The last thing that I want to make you aware of is that summer will soon approach. With that being said, I will need some volunteers to help out with VBS which I am planning to do for one week straight in the evenings.

There is so much going on in the life of our church and the life of our children and youth ministries. I would like for you to please see Curtis and me and come be a part and see what great things God is doing through our children and youth.
